Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Digg, & Social Networking
Tweetin’ with your peeps, givin’ them props, diggin’ their sites after you stumbled upon their posts then what?
Being a part of a Social Network is more than mentioning you are drinking your morning coffee. Yes you want to appear that you breathe and eat and have friends… but you don’t have to bore people with it unless that is who you are. Yes in the rare cases this can be an added benefit to your readers to indicate to them you are taking some time to be.. but share the most fun things that you think about, learn, can help others, entertain and just have fun. Don”t let it be a chore because it itsn’t.
Yes sometimes you come down with S1N1 (Social Networking Keyboard Overload) but the cure is simple. Take a break.. let people know that you need a break from it all. But also let them know that you are not forgetting them because you have S1N1.
Learn by design. Yes there are some superstarts out there that have a following.. and ya know what.. it is because they are sharing the real person of who they are, what they think. The difference is.. they don’t care what people think they just do their own thing, share it with others and allow others to be with them. My research indicates the ones that don’t bullpatootie and are really trying to help are the most successful one. Think Tony Robbins. Man that guy rocks, yes he sells but what he sells is great. You can do this too.
Look for people that you may have things in common or for people that may need your help. The other day I was on twitter and there was someone looking for a designer.. and a know what? I am going to ask them what they need help with. Simple. I may or may not be the right person for them but I am the first person to offer help. And what is it people are seraching for. Answers to their questions.
