Logo Design Elements my dear Watson!

Logos, icons or symbols are an art-form in and of themselves.

Logos are a simple device that are created to allow people to EASILY recognize the brand. McDonald’s has created a logo. What is it? They branded the logo the letter M. How many business are known as a letter? It is brilliant. Another is an apple with a bite out of it. Hmmm…. simple is the key. How about Coke? One word is the logo. Even Pepsi, a ball with a swirl. The elements of design always are structured on simplicity and clarity either close-up or at a distance.

Color is also an element that must be taken into deep consideration. A color on your computer sometimes does not relate in print. Color must be chosen wisely so that it looks great in both medias (print and internet). This can be a challenge. As an example, have you ever painted a room from a paint swatch and what it looked like on the swatch is not how it looked on the wall. Even when you put the swatch on the wall it is the same? How is that?

The way the eye registers color.

This same problem also appears in print.. what you see does not necessarily translate to print. There are two different formats of color such as RGB and Hexadecimal color coding. These color can be translated between each other somewhat but when they are translated into to print is a different matter
